That’s Where Everything Changed...

Have you ever noticed how every story has a turning point? There’s always a moment (or a series of moments) when things begin to shift. When you look back, you can point to it and say, that’s where everything changed. The same is true in the story of Joseph.

After being forgotten in prison for two long years, something unexpected happens. Pharaoh begins having troubling dreams, and suddenly, the chief cupbearer remembers Joseph. Joseph is brought out of prison and given the opportunity to stand before Pharaoh and interpret his dreams. From that moment, a chain of events is set in motion that will lead to his rise to power in Egypt. And for the first time, Joseph begins to see. He starts to understand that all the pain, the betrayal, the waiting, the forgetting, were not wasted. So much so that when Joseph has two sons, he gives them names that tell the story of what God has done in his life.

Tomorrow, we’re going to look at those names and what they reveal about learning to see your life differently. Because at some point, God invites all of us to look back, not with bitterness, but with a new perspective.

Join us tomorrow as we continue For Good: The Life of Joseph. You might just begin to see your own story in a new way.

See you soon!
