Wherever God is at work...
This Sunday we’ll be talking about the topic of spiritual warfare. Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” The Christian life is not lived on neutral ground - it’s lived on a battlefield. Every day, whether we see it or not, there are forces working to pull us away from Christ and His purposes. But God has not left us unprotected or unequipped. He provides us with His armor so that we can stand firm in His strength, not our own.
Martin Luther once wrote, “Where Christ builds a church, there the devil also builds a chapel." Wherever God is at work, the enemy will try to distract, discourage, and divide. But through Christ, we have everything we need to resist and overcome. This week, we’ll look at what it means to recognize the battle we are in, how to identify the schemes of the enemy, and how to take up the armor God has provided for His people.
Come ready to worship, to learn, and to stand firm together in the strength of the Lord.
See you soon!
