2 Corinthians 5

The past couple weeks have been a lot. Our nation and broader Christian culture have been stirred with strong emotions, loud voices, and endless commentary. Some of it has been encouraging, while other parts have been deeply unsettling. Like many of you, I’ve been taking it all in, and at times it has left me feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to respond. But God has a way of breaking through the noise. Last weekend at our church picnic, I had the joy of baptizing twenty people. With every baptism, I was reminded again of the power of the gospel to transform lives. In the middle of all the noise, God used that moment to point me back to what really matters.

Tomorrow, we continue our series “Therefore” by looking at 2 Corinthians 5. This chapter is packed with several “therefores” that bring us back to gospel clarity and remind us of our true identity and mission in Christ. In a season when it’s so easy to be swept up in fear, anger, or confusion, this passage anchors us in the gospel message.

If you’ve been wrestling with what you see in the world right now, I encourage you to join us at 10am. And don’t come alone - bring someone who could use some good news.

See you soon!
Pastor Tyler
